At the scene of this event, the chefs brought a total of ten specialties from Chengkou County.

The chefs chose fresh minced pork from Chengkou black pig, made small steamed buns with three types of mushrooms, ginger, and green onions, and fried them with oil on an iron plate. During the frying process, sprinkle with cold water several times, and put chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Then, the fried, steamed mushroom-stuffed bun was completed. The color was golden, and the soup inside was delicious. Many people on the scene favored this dish.

As one of the representatives of Chengkou cuisine, Chengkou bacon was naturally indispensable at this tip-of-the-tongue feast. The Caiban meat is one of the authentic specialties of "Chengkou bacon" in Chengkou. The cooked bacon is directly sliced and plated with a kitchen knife. The chopped meat is transparent and shiny, yellow and red inside. It tastes mellow, juicy but not greasy, thin but not stuffed in teeth.

"Chengkou bacon is one of the representative local specialties of Chengkou County and is now included in the Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage Catalogue." According to a representative in Chengkou County, in order to protect the traditional bacon, Chengkou plans to integrate the old bacon industry and culture and build an "old bacon town" in Houping Township. At the same time, it cooperates with universities and scientific research institutes in terms of technique, brand, sales, and other aspects, promotes the integration and development of traditional technology and modern science of Chengkou old bacon, and empowers Chengkou old bacon.

"I have been in Chongqing for three years. I like Chongqing and food here," said Wang Nan, an international student from Sri Lanka, whose favorite dish was the mountain delicacy with stewed chicken balls.

As a compound delicacy of meat and vegetables, fat and lean, the main ingredients of mountain delicacy with stewed chicken balls include mountain chicken breast, fresh fat meat of black pig, alpine wild fresh bamboo shoots, Yangdu fungus, etc. In addition to the mountain delicacy of stewed chicken balls, Wang Nan also learned how to bake golden corn pancakes on the spot.

Guan Zhenni from Indonesia, also preferred mountain delicacy with stewed chicken balls, not only because of its deliciousness but also for its ingredients come from Chengkou, such as pure natural alpine wild fresh bamboo shoots.

"This is a very nutritious delicacy. The ingredients from the mountain have become delicious through the superb skills of chefs." Guan Zhenni said that she often tasted Chinese food before coming to China. Nowadays, she is able to make Chinese dishes by herself. In front of the stove, Guan Zhenni followed the chef to learn how to use a kitchen knife, how to handle a pan and how to cook.

At the event site, the judges reviewed many delicacies in terms of taste, texture, perception, nutritional balance, innovation, etc. Many nearby villagers also voted for their favorite food after tasting them. The organizers also set up online voting to invite citizens to vote for their favorite Chengkou food.

From July to the end of this year, the public can vote once in the whole process through the official WeChat account of Smart Roadshow, and the dishes voted for one point. The final result of the competition will be jointly decided by on-site voting and online voting to select the most representative Chengkou cuisine. This dish will be included in the Chongqing list of candidates for recommended dishes. The organizing committee of the event will recommend it to Chinese embassies and consulates abroad, Chinese-funded institutions and consulates in Chongqing and other places as a famous Chongqing dish for banqueting important foreign guests.

In order to help rural revitalize, a "live streaming e-commerce" was also carried out on the day of the event. Many Internet experts introduced Chengkou's characteristic agricultural products to netizens on the spot.
