Chongqing - In Qingdao, Shandong Province, on 30 July, the 2022 China International Beer Challenge (CBC), the biggest professional beer competition in Asia, held its awards ceremony. 

Chongqing Brewery Co Ltd has been the brewer with the most awards again, with 11 of its products winning awards. Among the brands produced in Chongqing are Carlsberg Smooth Draught, Brooklyn Lager, Tuborg Beer, Brooklyn Summer Pale Ale, Extra Strength Carlsberg, WUSU Premium White Beer, WUSU Loulan Secret Brew, SOMERSBY Blackberry Cider, Chongqing Pure Draft Beer, Chongqing Extra Malt, and Chongqing 0.0% Alcohol-Free.

Since the first China International Beer Challenge in 2018, Carlsberg has won four times. The Brooklyn and Chongqing brands have also had products on the awarded list for four years. Chongqing Alcohol-Free was again favored by the judges this year for its brand-new Chongqing 0.0% Alcohol-Free bottle after winning the last prize.

Two other Chongqing beer brands were on the list for the first time this year. WUSU Beer, which has grown into a national brand in recent years, has two products, WUSU Premium White Beer and WUSU Loulan Secret Brew, winning the prize. Blackberry Cider, also popular with younger people, receives an award from SOMERSBY.

China's Chongqing Brewery ranks fourth domestic as a member of Carlsberg, which ranks third globally.
