Chongqing- The construction of the "Smart Manufacturing City" in Chongqing is inextricably linked to the industrial Internet, where previous Smart China Expos (SCE) have attracted the landing of industrial Internet projects with significant results in Chongqing. 

A huge industrial Internet market in Chongqing

"Industrial Internet has a huge market in Chongqing," said Wu Yunkun, president of Qi-AnXin Technology Group Inc. "Within two months of signing the contract at SCE 2021, we established subsidiary cooperation in Chongqing, which generated revenues of over 30 million yuan last year."

Wu continued, "the revenue is expected to reach 100 million yuan this year and will maintain an annual growth rate of 30%-50% in the next five years."

Over 130 people have been hired at Chongqing Qianxin Group Co., Ltd. so far, with more than 60% of professionals and technicians employed, creating a southwest headquarters for industrial Internet security and a platform for network security technology support.

The team has also cooperated with some enterprises and institutions in Chongqing, including the release of the only domestic industrial Internet gateway product for secure identity resolution in collaboration with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT); Beijing Institute of Technology Chongqing Innovation Center and China Mobile Group Chongqing Co. Ltd. have established a joint laboratory for the security of 5G internet of vehicles.

This July, ELION, a well-known domestic clean energy enterprise, announced at the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade that it will invest 600 million yuan (about 88.7 million U.S. dollars) to build a digital dual carbon project in Chongqing. The project will rely on the Xinghuo Blockchain Infrastructure and Facility (Xinghuo BIF) to construct a green digital asset blockchain infrastructure.

Xinghuo BIF was a signing project for SCE 2020. The first industrial Internet super node in China, utilizing Xinghuo BIF, was officially launched on June 8, marking the top-level node capable of industrial Internet identity resolution, blockchain, and domain name services.

Help enterprises migrate to the cloud

Also, a project from SCE 2020, Tencent Cloud (Chongqing) Industrial Internet Base, accelerated its construction after signing and was officially put into operation in April 2021. It has introduced 20 ecological partners, generated 57 industrial innovation applications, and helped 288 enterprises migrate to the cloud, using digital tools and enabling intelligence.

A cloud migration allows businesses to expand and grow painlessly while working within the existing infrastructure. This means applications and data can grow without impacting business performance.

"The base has developed an integrated industrial intelligence platform centered on a big data platform, an IoT platform, an AI capability platform, and an industrial low-code platform. Tencent has also built several intelligent manufacturing benchmarking demonstration projects in Chongqing," said Zhang Jun, general manager of Tencent Cloud (Chongqing) Industrial Internet Base.

Among those that have benefited from Tencent's low-code platform is Chongqing Zongshen Power Machinery Co., Ltd., which has helped the company's research and development team become more efficient. Meanwhile, the upgraded warehouse location system integrates supplier distribution data and ERP procurement information to achieve refined inventory management and enhance warehousing accuracy and efficiency.
