Chongqing- The 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) opened in Xiamen, China's Fujian Province, on September 8. As the guest of honor, Chongqing shows impressive achievements in smart manufacturing, international consumption center, and other fields. 

During the Chongqing Pavilion at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center on September 7, iChongqing reporter Zhan connected with iChongqing reporters Alex Reporterfy and Vivian Yan through the live stream to discuss products made in Chongqing and highlights at the fair.

Based on the CIFIT, three reporters discussed hot topics such as the expansion and growth of the service industry as well as new opportunities for international investment, which are a reflection of Chongqing's huge potential.

During the past few years, Chongqing has embraced new opportunities provided by a new round of sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation, accelerating the upgrade of industries to be high-end, intelligent, and green.

New opportunities for international investment 

For Chongqing's enterprises, the CIFIT is not only a platform for showcasing their products but also a window for seeking investment opportunities.

"We mainly display two types of core products this year, which are advanced turbocharger core components, pressure sensor actuated, and three-dimensional structural devices," said Zhou Yuejin, vice president of the Following Chongqing Electrical and Mechanical Co., Ltd. The layout of the turbocharger in a given application is critical to a properly performing system.

In China, Chongqing Electrical and Mechanical Co., Ltd. ranked first in the market for pressure sensor components, which are mainly used in the petroleum, chemical, and other fields of intelligent control of industrial processes.

According to Zhou, they attended the fair to demonstrate the company's core products and seek collaboration and investment opportunities.

The live stream discussed hot topics related to opening up and international investment. Various sectors, such as transportation, logistics, and medical care, were used to illustrate the Chinese investment market's positive nature vividly. 

With the COVID-19 pandemic and severe economic situation, Alex shared his experiences and thoughts about Chongqing's booming consumption market. In terms of the service sectors like hotels and shopping malls, more and more enterprises now settle in Chongqing, enjoying the policy dividends.

In addition, a favorable business environment plays a vital role in attracting foreign investment to a city. Vivian shared the preferential policies that foreign companies can enjoy in Chongqing. For example, Chongqing protects the rights and interests of enterprises through international tax policies such as tax treatment and non-resident corporate income tax at a reduced rate of 10%.
