Chongqing- To lower the epidemic risk and upgrade visa interview efficiency for foreigners, the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Chongqing Public Security Bureau Immigration Service Center has built an intelligent service system for foreigners to apply online visa interviews.
The Exit-Entry Administration Division of Chongqing Public Security Bureau Immigration Service Center was officially inaugurated in January this year and is the first provincial-level immigration service center in China to build a multi-functional service system for foreigners.
Eight foreigners from AT&S (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. completed their online interviews recently. With the support of the National Immigration Administration, It can provide a one-stop service for foreigners to apply for a work visa.
Since its establishment, the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Chongqing Public Security Bureau Immigration Service Center has launched a three-level management service of the city, district (county), and community service stations. The center can provide remote visa interviews and consultations for foreign-related enterprises and universities based on the self-built intelligent service system.
Considering AT&S has received many foreigners in Chongqing, the Immigration Service Center set up a particular service station in AT&S this July, which serves as the first time for the company to make a remote centralized visa interview through the service station.
The Exit-Entry Administration Division police, knowing the information of the eight foreign applicants in advance, talked to the applicants through video, asked questions about visas, and delivered relevant laws and visa policies. The process is convenient and efficient, taking only 3-5 minutes per person.
Kong Hou Hwa, a Malaysian who can speak simple Chinese, said that the online interview saves time and reduces the risk of epidemics. The officer in charge was friendly and made him have an enjoyable experience.
“The intelligent service system will link Yukuaiban and Jingkuaiban soon. The center provides efficient and timely online government services for foreign-related enterprises, institutions, and individuals in Chongqing, further optimizing the business environment and serving economic development,” said an Exit-Entry Administration Division official.
As the mobile customer service terminal of the “Internet + Public Security” government affairs service developed by Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau, Jingkuaiban provides convenient public security business services for the public, including convenient office services and interactive communication.
The Exit-Entry Administration Division of Chongqing Public Security Bureau integrates government and social resources to offer better services for foreign teachers and students. It sets up immigration service sub-centers and stations in regions populated by foreigners.
In July, Chongqing’s first university immigration service station, Southwest University Immigration Service Station in Beibei District, was unveiled at the International College of Southwest University.
It offers foreign teachers and students one-stop services, including video visa interviews, legal and policy publicity consultation, and other services. The foreign-related police services and campus governance have been organically integrated.
