Chongqing - Mo Wuying, a 40-year-old factory worker in Chongqing, creates images of birds, tigers, and monkeys with 3D effects on stones. The delicate stone, which depicts vivid animals, went viral online recently.

Mo Wuying usually works in a factory and spends her spare time creating stone paintings. Her small animals are lifelike. "I have loved painting since I was a child. In recent years, after the children go to school, I have more free time to learn painting," she said.

Mo has been practicing stone painting for eight years. "The more I learn, the more I feel interested. Sometimes I don't eat or sleep. I will draw until 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning."
At first, Mo tried creating images of landscapes and characters. She began focusing on animal stone painting in the past three years.
"Animal shapes should be created according to the shape of stones," Mo introduced, "the first thing is to choose the right stone. Before drawing, you can use the pen to paint the outline, then use paint to spread out the relationship between light and dark and depict the details of the facial features. Silky hair is superimposed layer by layer from deep to shallow."

"The creative process is very healing. A fine stone painting usually takes twenty to thirty hours, but looking at each painting is very fulfilling," said Mo.
She said she would continue to draw more innovative works and pass down this traditional technique in the future.
