Hailing from southwest China's Chongqing City Management College, Wang took home China's first gold medal in beauty therapy in the competition.

The beauty therapy of the WorldSkills Competition is divided into seven sections, including advanced skincare, body care, hair removal, painted nail art, makeup, eyelash extension, and hand and foot care.

Looking back on the whole games, Wang achieved the highest score in the sports massage technique in part due to the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine massage and Tai Chi.

Sports massage is a popular form of treatment and prevention of soft tissue sports injuries in daily exercise, and it has become a service demand in the beauty industry. This competition has included this content in the beauty competition, which earlier belongs to the category of rehabilitation medicine. The competitors had almost no contact and training before preparing for the game, which is both a challenge and an opportunity for everyone.

This is a tactic that the team has adopted. After announcing the scope of the competition, Wang Peng, the leader of the Chinese expert group of the beauty therapy contests, immediately decided to incorporate Chinese Tai Chi and traditional Chinese massage techniques into sports massage. "We want to take this opportunity to showcase the characteristics of Chinese sports massage and let the world understand the essence of traditional Chinese medicine massage."

Wang Pei and other Chongqing skilled stars can succeed thanks to the improvement of Chongqing's skilled talent training system, the support from the high-skilled talent training platform, and numerous vocational colleges.

Chongqing City Management College's college has carried out long-term cooperation and exchanges with universities and educational institutions in nearly 30 countries, including Germany, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and France. So far, Chongqing has cultivated four WorldSkills Competition champions.
