The comprehensive land improvement of Dashun Township in Fuling has optimized production, living and ecological space to improve the environment for living and ecology, facilitating industrial agglomeration. The ecological restoration of Dashun Township is one of the first batches of comprehensive land improvement pilot projects of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The project focuses on the "Two Mountains" theory, which is the theory of lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, and thoroughly implements the integrated ecological protection and system restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes and grasslands. Therefore, a comprehensive land improvement model for the whole region is formed with municipal funds, district-level funds and social funds.

Through the systematic engineering implementation in the three villages of Dashun Township, Datian, Xinxing and Tianbaosi, the project has improved the ecological environment, consolidated the industrial foundation, and promoted the transfer of land in the project area, set up land for revitalization and utilization, and developed traditional agriculture. Also, the project guides the development of rural leisure tourism, effectively boosting rural revitalization.

The Fuling District Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Center stated that the project would systematically consolidate and rehabilitate farmland, wetlands and riverways in the project area through purification ponds, water barriers, sightseeing plank roads, footpaths and other supporting infrastructure projects. While meeting the needs of regional flood discharge, irrigation and production water, water quality has been purified, river bank ecology has been improved, and natural environments, including streams, ditches and wetlands, have been restored, enhancing biodiversity. The living environment has been effectively improved by implementing projects such as the renovation of the courtyard, fences, flower ponds, bird boxes and insect-killing lamps, creating an environment of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
