Chongqing- On June 23rd, Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality released the first batch of open lists for smart city application scenarios, with 20 projects covering government affairs, enterprise data, fire safety, mapping epidemics, and other fields, moving forward to the world-famous smart city.
According to an official from the Chongqing Big Data Application and Development Administration, the list includes 20 projects. To channel more computing resources from the eastern areas to the less developed western regions, Chongqing has opened ten application scenarios for artificial intelligence computing center application expansion, government cloud data backup service, government cloud unified electronic seal and signature services, China-Singapore (Chongqing) channel service for enterprise application, and energy consumption monitoring platform of Chongqing Big Data Center.
In the field of data opening, Chongqing has also opened ten application scenarios data opening, including basic enterprise query, enterprise investment insight, real estate verification, intelligent fire safety, mapping epidemic, Yukang Code, etc.
The release of smart city application scenarios in Chongqing will attract many leading smart city software enterprises at home and abroad and drive the development of local industries. Local software companies with strong innovation capabilities and new business models can participate in this tide, thus obtaining great development opportunities.
Chongqing has compiled and implemented the 14th Five-year Plan (2021-2025) of Chongqing data governance, the first specific plan of data governance in China, to build a highland of data governance. It has promoted policies and regulations regarding data regulations, government data resources, and public data opening, exploring constructing a multi-level and comprehensive database system.
Chongqing has taken the lead in the data-sharing system of state-city-district (county) in China. Government affairs data could share in Chongqing and Sichuan via a provincial sharing platform. Chongqing has launched a government affairs data census and actively promotes the real-time synchronization and aggregation of data from various government departments.
In terms of cultivating the market of data elements, Chongqing has operated the Western Digital Trading Center to build an ecological data trading system. Focusing on fields with more active data elements, such as electricity and finance, it has introduced more than 50 digital players and launched 50 data products to explore data trading. At the same time, Chongqing is also working with Shenzhen Data Exchange and Shanghai Data Exchange to create an ecosystem of data elements.
To build Chongqing into a data center cluster. Chongqing has made every effort to create three initial areas, the Shuitu High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Liangjiang New Area, the Bishan area of Western (Chongqing) Science City, and the Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone.
At the same time, Chongqing has released its new infrastructure carbon peak implementation plan, promoting the application of green technology products, creating green data centers, and promoting the development of digital infrastructure.
Many key projects are under construction, including the artificial intelligence computing center and the JD supercomputing center of the discovery research institute. Those projects will provide large-scale power service for automotive, electronics, advanced manufacturing, and high-end equipment industries.
