Changshou Direct Train of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) loaded with goods departed from Chongqing Yuba Logistics Co., Ltd. in Chongqing Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone on August 11.

This means that China's first ILSTC direct train connecting with a hundred-billion national economic and technological development zone becomes operational, marking that Changshou's opening-up has been taken to a new level.

With a total of 42 containers and a total value of more than 9 million yuan (about 1.39 million U.S. dollars), the goods include pure polyethylene resin, all-terrain vehicle parts, and refined oxalic acid, which will arrive at Beibu Gulf in two days, and then be shipped to the Kuantan Port in Malaysia, the Hai Phong Port in Vietnam, Singapore, and other places.

So far, ILSTC has realized the seamless connection with China Railway Express and Yangtze River Golden Waterway, building up a logistics network covering over 300 ports in more than 100 countries and regions.

Up to now, ILSTC had transported more than 210,000 TEUs with the combined value exceeding 38 billion yuan.

With the railway container area of Chongqing Yuba Logistics Co., Ltd. as the distribution center, Changshou Direct Train will start regular operation in the future. It is expected that the volume transported annually will reach 6,000 TEUs.

According to Ba Chuanjiang, Director of the Port and Logistics Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Changshou District is an important node and a central region of the sources of goods of ILSTC. Changshou Direct Train serves as a significant achievement made by the district in strengthening ILSTC's driving force in the surrounding regions and promoting the integration of ILSTC's trade industries.

Meanwhile, Changshou Direct Train is the first ILSTC direct train connecting with a hundred-billion national economic and technological development zone.

Looking ahead, it will play a significant role in completing ILSTC's multi-node hub system, driving the critical role of surrounding regions in ILSTC construction, promoting the in-depth integration between logistics and industries, and expanding the channel economy and the hub economy.

According to Dai Ming, Governor of Changshou District and Director of Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changshou District will accelerate the construction of the ILSTC Changshou Distribution Center. The Distribution Center will strengthen connectivity among information, capital, technology, and other aspects, promote opening-up and cooperation at a larger scale, in broader areas, and at a deeper level, and contribute to Chongqing's effort to become a leader of opening-up in the interior.
