Chongqing- The Smart China Expo (SCE) 2022 will be held in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality from August 22 to 24. This three-day annual hi-tech feast will gather industry giants to exhibit the latest technologies and prominent academics to share insights, according to a press conference on July 28.

90 application scenarios in the Chongqing Pavilion

The Expo will not only invite Nobel Prize and Turing Prize winners to participate but also set up a high-end dialogue session to invite academics, experts, and enterprise elites to discuss the integration development trend of the vehicle-road collaborative cloud control platform to make suggestions for Chongqing to build a world-class intelligent network new energy vehicle industrial cluster.

"The highlights of the SCE 2022 are to grasp the new trend of smart city development, create a new platform for exchange, summarize the new achievements of the construction of digital Chongqing, and show new scenes of digital application," said a Chongqing government official.

Continuing with the "Smart Technology: Empowering Economy, Enriching Life" theme, the SCE 2022 will focus on "Smart City," to create an urban meta-universe application scenario and provide a panoramic view of the links involved in smart cities, including top-level design, standards, infrastructure, smart hub, and network security.

The Expo will extensively use cutting-edge technologies such as naked eye 3D and XR to present Chongqing's intelligent industry in multiple dimensions. The Chongqing Pavilion will display more than 90 application scenarios in 8 fields, such as smart transportation, smart community, and ecological protection.

Guests from 19 countries

Centering on the national strategy of Belt and Road and the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, guests from 19 countries(regions) such as Singapore, Italy, and South Korea will join this event. Teams (players) from 9 countries (regions) such as France, Israel, and Switzerland will compete together. Sichuan Province will be the guest of honor for the first time.

Forums like the intelligent network vehicle high-end forum, the 2022 National Smart Tourism Forum, and the Digital Rural Summit Forum will offer new ideas and visions for constructing digital China and Chongqing.

The Expo gathered more than 50 of the Fortune Global 500 and Fortune China 500 enterprises, such as Huawei, Bosch, BOE, and Inspur. At that time, the global release of the V2.0 of the Beitai Tianyuan numerical calculation software will be a blockbuster. Baidu will announce its autonomous driving commercial operation scheme for the first time.

Fifty-eight new products such as a high-definition 8k decoder and intelligent machine workshop, 15 new technology including desert socialization smart agriculture, 24 new applications like "city brain" big data platform, and 16 new achievements involving microchip and IntelliSense system, all will be presented to this year's SCE.

Officials said that in the past four years, with the help of the SCE, Chongqing accumulated 1,704 enterprises in the core digital economy industry, and the added value of the digital economy increased by 16% annually. The SCE is not only a "name card" for Chongqing to link national strategies but also an essential platform for the world's intelligent industry to collide ideas and aggregate resources.
